Orthodontics

Nowadays very few people are lucky to be born with absolutely straight teeth. Aesthetic teeth braces is the ideal method for everyone who wishes to have an ideal smile. The most important advantage of this approach is that the treatment time is relatively short and as a result, one can have straight teeth and a beautiful smile really fast. Following current trends, there is a variety of aesthetic treatment methods offered today:

Treatment With Metal Braces

Metal braces are made of stainless steel and constitute the most widely used method of orthodontic treatment for the front teeth.

Treatment With Clear Braces

In comparison to the conventional ceramic braces, clear braces are much more stylish. They are made of monocrystalline sapphire and are completely transparent, offering the ideal solution for children, teenagers and adults. Apart from their aesthetic superiority over other metal braces, their surface is smooth and has rounded edges that offer the patient greater comfort.

Treatment with Lingual Braces (Incognito)

Lingual braces are similar to conventional ceramic braces with the difference being that they are placed on the palatal (lingual) teeth surface. They are practical and cannot be distinguished at all while talking or smiling.

Treatment With CA® Clear Aligners

CA® CLEAR ALIGNER has been developed especially for treating adults and allows aligning your teeth in a smooth way – without clasps, screws or brackets. Instead of metal elements you’ll be wearing a biocompatible resin splint, almost unnoticed by your surroundings. The splint can be taken out and cleaned easily at any time.

Your orthodontist will fabricate your CA® CLEAR ALIGNER splint individually. During the treatment, the splint will be exchanged several times, guaranteeing that each splint will be adjusted to your individual treatment progress and that your teeth are corrected smoothly step by step. Your benefit: An extraordinary comfortable way of aligning your teeth and optimal treatment results at the same time.

  • Anamnesis/consultation
Your orthodontist examines your teeth position, verifying whether it can be treated by the CA® CLEAR ALIGNER splint system.

  • Model fabrication
If you decide in favour of the CA® CLEAR ALIGNER treatment, your orthodontist will take an impression of your teeth, forming the basis for a so-called situation model.

  • Set-up and splint fabrication
Based on this situation model, the first step of your teeth correction will be computer-simulated. Single teeth of the model are cut off and minimal movements are done. The result will be the so-called set-up, the basis for your first CA® CLEAR ALIGNER splints. Your orthodontist will initially fabricate three CA® CLEAR ALIGNER splints, basing on each other, which are normally worn 1-2 weeks each.

  • Adaptation
The next time you’ll come to your orthodontist’s practice you’ll receive the first set of CA® CLEAR ALIGNER splints. Your orthodontist will examine carefully the fit of your first splint. You’ll feel the splint just as a slight pressure on your teeth which are now being aligned smoothly in the required way.

  • First wearing step
Contrary to other aligner systems, in the CA® CLEAR ALIGNER treatment you’ll be wearing three splints in each treatment step, consisting of different material thicknesses. During the first week you’ll wear a thin splint, guaranteeing your teeth can easily get used to the pressure exerted by the teeth correction. The next week you’ll wear a slightly thicker splint, followed by a harder one in week three and four. This procedure ensures correction of your teeth in a very smooth and careful way.

  • Treatment progress
After having worn your first set of splints for three weeks, your orthodontist will take another impression and examine the development of your teeth position during the treatment. Based on the new situation, another set of splints will be fabricated following the same procedure and again correcting your teeth step by step. This procedure will be repeated until the desired result of your treatment has been achieved. After treatment, it is recommended to wear a so-called CA® retention splint at night for approx. 12 months to ensure the treatment result.
