Aesthetic Dentistry

Aesthetic Dentistry refers to a host of dental treatments designed to enhance the smile and correct chipped, cracked, discolored and unevenly spaced teeth. Patients can choose from a variety of cosmetic dentistry solutions to restore the health and vitality of their smile. Technological advances in natural-looking, tooth-colored dental materials make today’s cosmetic dental treatments more durable and predictable than before. We guarantee that we will give you the smile you’ve always wanted, following the procedure that will match the condition of your teeth and your desired result. From subtle changes to major repairs, we can perform a variety of procedures to:

  • Close gaps between teeth

  • Teeth whitening

  • Restore worn or short teeth

  • Alter the length of your teeth

  • Replace one or more missing teeth

  • Replace older fillings

Porcelain Veneers

Dental veneers are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your appearance. These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth, changing their color, shape, size, or length. Veneers are routinely used to fix teeth that are discolored, worn down, chipped or broken, teeth that are misaligned, uneven, or irregularly shaped and teeth with gaps between them. One tooth or many teeth can simultaneously undergo the veneering process. Porcelain veneers can very naturally reproduce the colour and texture of the teeth, having the great advantage of remaining unchanged throughout time.

Composite Resin Veneers

The closest conservative cosmetic alternative to porcelain veneers is composite resin. Composite resin is a tooth-colored filling material that may be used to form dental veneers and give perfect white smile in a few hours.

The recovery is brief and painless, usually without anesthesia. Composite veneers are less expensive than porcelain veneers. However, they need to be very well polished if they are to look natural. Also, as the resin is porous, they will stain and they are susceptible to chipping, so regular maintenance is required.

Our principal aim is to use the technique which best fits your needs and wishes, in order to give you a smile that is greatly improved.

Whitening

Your smile creates an immediate, subconscious visual impact on the people you meet. A brighter smile gives the impression of youth, vitality and happiness. Whitening is used to improve the brightness of your teeth and correct discoloration. It is absolutely safe for the teeth and gums as the structure of the tooth is not changed, only its color is made brighter. Whitening is is effective only on natural teeth.

The procedure is simple and it doesn’t require more than 2-3 visits to the dentist’s office. At first, impressions of your mouth are taken and a thin, custom-made, gel-holding appliance called “tray” is made. At your second visit, you will be fitted with your tray and provided with a special whitening gel. A small amount of the gel is placed in the tray and is worn for 6-8 hours each day, for 7-15 days.

This procedure is used in conjunction with an in-office 45-minute whitening session. In the office, the dentist will firstly apply a substance that covers and protects the gums around the teeth. Then, a special whitening gel is applied to your teeth, which is renewed every 15 minutes.

Whitening is not a permanent solution. However, if you follow the instructions of Oral Hygiene the result will last for a long time.

Gingival Recontouring

Gingival Recontouring is a technique that restores the form and shape of the gums. It is applied to restore the smile’s aesthetics and reverse a condition commonly defined as a “gummy smile”.
